Every year the Balloon Festival turns the sky above Paestum into a moving landscape of colour.
From 25 September to 4 October 2026, hot-air balloons return to the Paestum plain for the new edition of the festival.
Podere Cafasso is surrounded by countryside: a quiet base for enjoying the Festival, Paestum and the archaeological area, then coming back to the green and silence of the Podere.

Sometimes the show comes all the way to the Podere
During previous editions of the Festival, hot-air balloons have flown over the countryside around Podere Cafasso and, on some days, passed right in front of the property.
Routes depend on the wind and cannot be predicted. That is precisely what makes every passage different — and every sighting special.
